| On Thursday night, I received a phone call from London, Ontario regarding my business school application. I am grateful for the positive news that I will be returning back to Canada this Spring to further my studies at UWO. I am truly thankful for this opportunity God has provided. I am also grateful to my parents and brothers for their unparalleled support. Similarly, thank you to my managers past and present for their time, assistance, and their confidence in me. To my colleagues from inflight and on the ground, thank you for being a part of my career and personal development. Likewise, my heartfelt thanks to my family and friends for their prayers and encouragement. Though I am sad to say leave my friends, colleagues, and relatives here in Hong Kong, I am excited for this opportunity and look forward to next 13 months ahead. I pray that God will one day lead me back to the city and airline I love, according to His will. Ecclesiastes 3:1 |

| January 23rd is a special day. 22 years ago today, my family immigrated to Canada.
I am grateful to my Mom and Dad for the sacrifice they made. They gave up their careers and had to leave their friends and family in Hong Kong so that my brother and I could grow up in the best country in the world. Indeed, the greatest blessing was that our family got to know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour.
I am also thankful that four years ago today, I started my career with Cathay Pacific. Growing up in Canada, Cathay Pacific to me was Hong Kong's name brand. As a leading international airline, Cathay represented Hong Kong's achievement and success in the global airline industry. Working for Hong Kong's hometown carrier is like a dream come true.
Truly grateful, Joseph
